Sci-Tech week

"Improving Filipino Lives Through Science and Technology"

Rejoicing and enjoying my first Sci-Tech Week Celebration was really fun especially getting to work with your buddies in the Science Olympics.
It was 7:00 in the morning when we arrived at the Leader for our general rehearsal for the upcoming invocation, intermission and the national anthem version of our perspiring dance last week. We were all praying for the good result of our dance. We prayed that teachers from different schools would be glad to see us performing on stage. Praying solemnly, and to have always faith in God is considered for us as a key of believing in ourselves and a perfect way also for the success of our dance. We did what our proctor expects from us. We did it seriously without a paint of smile in our faces. After our dance, we were afraid again of what will happen next. I’m afraid that Ms. Rabago will again scold us for not again performing the dance well. But not anymore, instead we were applauded by our mentors for another job well-done. Another proof was when we had our group picture with our hilarious and comical faces with it. I really enjoy my days spending with my amusing society where friendships develop and stay longer and longer, the UPSTAGE.
After all of that, we decided to go back to the campus and spend all throughout the day enjoying the Science Olympics. When I came back, I was already cramming because our entry for my game was not yet done. We were all four but only two of us were working. So we decided to join the game without the two other members. The game was already prepared, but both of us were still working. We were always saying to ourselves that the egg to be put in the box will soon be cracked as soon as it is dropped. The procedure was to make a tight box using only newspapers and other sources of writing materials. Me, myself and I were all excited because the assigned one for the game was my crush ….Very exciting…… All through the game, they were pushing me to him. When it’s our time, I gave my box to his partner. As the box dropped, we were praying together to let the egg be safe in our box. When we opened it, we were shocked because the egg was still safe. Yehhheyy!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the afternoon, we had our Radio Quiz. We were all excited of the questions to be answered by all UP students in all sections, including the 4th years. We had our perfect score on the first query. But since then, we placed as the 7th section who won through out the quiz. Even though we placed one of the bottom groups, we learned to get pleasure with the challenging questions. We enjoyed also the following announcements and requests that the UP students did. Soon the Awarding Session began, we first sang the National Anthem but when the last words of the song came, somebody sang it loudly as loud as she could. Everyone stared at her and laughed. One of the teachers came and said the disturbance she has done. Next was when our teacher requested us to give to them our dominant dance which was the Sagle Dance. This was prepared for our General Rehearsal that time. We were very exhausted when we had our dismissal because our teacher let us repeat and repeat our dance but then still, we enjoyed it.
